SYLVESTER JAMES VAUGHNS, SR.
Departed on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Landover, MD. Loving husband of the late Odell Doris Vaughns; devoted father of Olivia, Orlette and Sylvester Vaughns Jr. and the late Minister Sandy Vaughns. Also survived by one sister, Mae Riley of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 17 at Hemingway Memorial AME Church, 6330 Gateway Blvd., District Heights, MD 20747 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
