My condolences. I interviewed Mr. Hemmendinger in the 80s for my research on the evolution of the Japan lobby in Washington of which he was instrumental. I hope the family keeps all his papers as they contain much of historical significance. They might want to donate them George Washington U's special collections library. His papers can provide important answers to questions about the Occupation policies and Japanese trade policies. His work made and changed history and it is important to give scholars access to it.

My condolences to the Hemmendinger family.
I worked for Mr. Hemmendinger in the late 70's and early 80's. He was a kind man.

Eric, I botched my words. Of course I meant to refer to a celebration of your Dad's life in my message. Again, our condolences. Liz.
