We've lost a giant in our field and much too soon. Bern was the consummate professional and a kind, funny and supportive human being. May he rest in peace.

Donna & Family:
Bern was a classmate and teammate through high school at St. Fidelis and college at Duquesne. He remained a cherished friend throughout life. You all have our deepest sympathies on his passing.
Know that he is at peace now with God, and probably playing baseball on a diamond up in heaven.

Dear Donna,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and and your family.
I loved Bern and will be eternally grateful for his friendship. He had a profound influence on me, both personally and professionally. I know I'm better for having known him. I'll never forget Berns serious dedication to his work and the love he had for his family. He touched so many people in such a positive way.
Then, of course, was Bern's infectious laugh! That, along with wonderful memories of our times together at professional conferences will be in my heart forever!
With condolences and Love,
Bill Kippley

Bern Beidel was quite simply an extraordinary man. He was a beloved friend and coworker and I will always remember his exceptional gift with people. His memory will live on for his great contributions to both the CAO Organization and those lucky enough to be counseled by this sage and compassionate man.

The Bernie Beidel I knew at Duquesne University and St. Paul's was already the kind of man depicted in his obituary. He was a man of high ideals, committed to service with a balanced perspective that was revealed in his sense of humor.
I will celebrate a Mass for his repose and the consolation of his family.

Seeing Bernie's was always an addition to whatever the occasion might be. The warmth of his smile was only matched by his every gesture & action. His family, friends and acquaintances all cherish the example he set. His loss is felt in magnitudes reflective of his impact on those he touched.
Blessing and comfort to the Beidels.

Bern will be sorely missed, he was a rare man of heart and compassion.
I've known Bern for his entire career at the House & worked closely with him on the Communications team during the House's anthrax evacuation following 9-11. It was a rough time but his gentle kindness and humor, his sincere care for others, made a hard job easier & the long days bearable.
I am truly sorry for your loss, you are not alone in your sorrow.
