LeMere, Violet  
LeMere, Violet Violet D. LeMere, 90, of Wausau, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau. She was born to the late Raymond and Lilly (Paulus) Opper on July 29, 1924 in Brokaw. She married Loyal LeMere on August 15, 1951 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1994. Violet served her country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1945 - 1948. She was formally employed with Wausau Papers, Brokaw until her retiring in 1981. She was a long time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and served faithfully in the mothers club. Violet enjoyed golfing, cross country skiing, bowling and in her later years going to the casino. Survivors include her two sisters, LuAnn (Harry) Spanton, and Barbara (Michael) Ermeling both of Weston; three sister-in-laws, Roberta and Charlotte Opper and Marlene (James) Rochon; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers, Gilbert, LeRoy, Raymond Jr., Kenneth and Allen; and a sister, Irene Blunt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday December 18, 2014 at St. Paul UCC, 426 Washington St., Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be given at www.brainardfuneral.com

Lackey, Mary  
Lackey, Mary Mary Elizabeth Lackey, 70, of Wausau WI, passed away December 6th, 2014. "Mary Beth", daughter of Mary Winifred Wagner and Loren Hoss, died peacefully in her home among family after a battle with esophageal cancer. She is survived by her mother; two daughters, Christa Deane and Jennifer Lackey; and grandson Clyde. Mary is also survived by four siblings: Lana Markey, Bruce Hoss, Debbie Reinicke and Tommy Hoss; sister-n-law, Cinda Zant; 13 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; and dog Charlie. Mary graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in Marshfield, WI in 1962 after growing up in Owen, WI. She was instrumental in planning the 40th, 45th and 50th reunions. As a life long music lover, she particularly enjoyed creating the top 40-music compellation CDs from her high school era for her former classmates and photo displays. In October 1968 she married Charles Lackey in East Moline, IL. They were happily married for 42 years until the time of his death in 2010. Mary, also known as Beth, was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and pet owner. She was a full time homemaker and well known for her decorating, meticulous sewing and craftsmanship for creating needlepoint samplers, quilting, knitting and crocheting Afghans and garments. She also had a passion for the outdoors, bird watching, gardening and the change of seasons. She particularly enjoyed autumn and celebrating the Green Bay Packers throughout the football season. Finally, she was always up for playing a competitive card game of Hearts. Mary will be greatly missed for her open-minded sense of humor, fun-loving nature, great sense of compassion, loyalty and integrity. Services will be held at Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, 54403 (East Location), Saturday December 13th with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and Memorial at 1:45 p.m., refreshments will be served after.

Lauermann, Harvey  
Lauermann, Harvey Harvey A. Lauermann, 86, Wausau died Monday, December 8, 2014 at North Central Health Care, Wausau. Harvey was born on Feb. 1, 1928 to the late George and Emma (Ruschmeyer) Lauermann in Phillips, WI. He married Geraldine Nelson on July 15, 1950 in Wausau. She preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 2001. Harvey loved to fish for walleye, especially on Musser Lake, where he had a cabin. There he also enjoyed deer hunting and making memories. Whenever possible, he enjoyed watching the Packers with his son and grandson. Survivors include his four daughters, Bonnie (Bruce) Ostrowski, Elaine Breske, Joan (Merlin) Babbitt and Amy (Mark) Kondzela; five grandchildren, Bonnie Breske, Becky (Seth) Wise, Shelley (Andrew) Kennedy, Char Kondzela and Joshua Lauermann; and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son, John and brother, Walter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Lotzer, Dolores  
Lotzer, Dolores Evelyn (nee Bauer) Surrounded by her loving family in person and "by heart" from a distance, Dolores (Dee) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Tucson, Az. November 21, 2014 at Casa de la Luz Hospice. Dee moved to Tucson in April of 2014 where she loved the warmth & daily sunshine. Dolores was born August 22, 1928 to Rudolph & Elizabeth Bauer (Michlig) in Wausau, Wi. Dolores married Ellsworth G Lotzer in Wausau, Wi. Married for 64 years, they were the "Love of each others Life". Ellsworth (Al ) preceded her in death on August 12th, 2010. Dolores is survived by 6 children. Gary (Julie) Lotzer, Tucson, Az., Carla (Ken) Schmidt, Merrill, Wi., Bruce (Donna) Lotzer, Athens, Wi., Debra (Dale) Hanke, Athens, Wi., Pam Cance, Merrill, Wi., and Robin (Cory) Nelson, Rosholt, Wi. Dee is further survived by 2 sisters who meant the world to her, Evelyn (Charles) Berg, Milwaukee, WI. and Patricia (Don) Mc Allen, Anchorage, Ak. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and her faithful companion and loving dog, "Becky". Al & Dee owned and operated Newood Tap, Merrill, WI, for many years where they enjoyed meeting and making dear friends. Among other places Dee worked was House of Merrill, C & H Packaging and Auto Stop Convenience Store, all of Merrill. An amazing, loving, caring and giving woman, Dee loved her family and made them a priority her entire life. While living in Merrill, Dee was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Marathon, Wi. She enjoyed and greatly appreciated and looked forward to the visits from her Pastor each month who stopped at her home in Merrill to give her Communion, share prayer and share thoughts. Dee loved canning, cooking, and baking pie's for her family. It was her favorite past time. Dee also loved gardening. She loved flowers and took pride in her flower gardens. A generous and giving person, Dee would crochet all through the year to donate mitten & scarf sets for Mitten Tree's as well as make them for her children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Dee's latest hobby was making beautiful beaded jewelry which she passed out with gratitude to her many caring Doctors, Nurses and PCA's at University Medical Center, Tucson, Az. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Ellsworth, Grandaughter JanaDe Lotzer, brothers Edwin & Norman Bauer and sisters, Marie Wallace & Elvera Dalbec. The immediate family will gather on December 13, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Marathon, WI. for a "Celebration of Life" service.
