Albee, James James Albee, 82, Rothschild, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 21, 2016. He was born on July 10, 1933 to Ichabod Albee and Mary O'Keefe. He married Jean (Booth) Albee on June 21, 1959. He is survived by his loving wife: Jean Albee; his six sons: James (Karen) Albee, Muskego, Jay (Laurie) Albee, Rib Mountain, Scott Albee, Weston, Alan (Martie) Albee, Minocqua, Brian Albee, Eagle River, Gary (Donna) Albee, Ashland; one brother: Frank (Mary) Albee, Ringle; three sisters: Faith Brown, Schofield, Artus Plaza, Mosinee, Patricia Kraucyk, Weston; eleven grandchildren: Ryan, Jacob, Brianna, Thomas, Brennan, Brittaney, Danielle, Sterling, Kendra, JJ and Ashley; and two great grandchildren: Alayna and Lana. He is preceded in death by his parents: Ichabod and Mary; and one grandchild: Joey. James enjoyed being at their cabin fishing and walking. He also served in the United States Army and served in the Korean War and was also a Military Police in Italy. He later retired from Wausau Metal in 1996. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Saint Mark Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Allan Slowiak will be officiating. Burial will take place at Restlawn with Military Honors after the Mass. John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time. Borchardt, Faith  
Borchardt, Faith Faith Yvonne Utecht Borchardt was born in Wausau on March 18, 1942, to Edward Utecht and Delores Ferge Utecht. She died peacefully on June 20, 2016, at Benedictine Manor supported by loving friends. Faith was baptized and confirmed at St. Stephen Lutheran Church and also attended the St. Stephen parochial school until its closure. She attended Lincoln School, Wausau High School, and a year of study at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. On March 5, 1967, Faith married Dion Borchardt, a veteran of the Vietnam War. They both became active in the local VFW post. Faith served in many areas of leadership in the VFW Women's Auxiliary at both the local and state level. Faith also belonged to the American Legion and served on several committees and as a lector at St. Stephen Lutheran Church willingly sharing her gifts and time. Her working career was spent at General Telephone and Electronics (GTE) Company beginning as a switchboard operator and rising to a management support position. She retired from GTE in December of 1993, after almost 32 years of service. Preceding her in death were her parents whom she lovingly helped in their aging and her beloved husband, Dion, and a brother, Roger Utecht of Freemont, WI. She is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Zemke Doerr of Seguin, TX and Beverly Utecht Borchardt of Tomahawk, WI, along with two nephews, Stephen (Nancy) Doerr, Seguin, TX , Pastor Nathan (Naomi) Doerr of Littleton, CO and two nieces, Christine (Gary) Richter, El Campo, TX and Jane Doerr, San Antonio, TX. Six great-nephews and two great-nieces survive and cherish her memory. Two cousins, Donald Janiak and Leslie A. Ferge, also survive, along with her many friends. Faith will be deeply missed, but she leaves us with this message that was displayed for years in her mother's flower garden: "If God hath made the world so fair, where sin and death abound, how beautiful beyond compare, will paradise be found." Author: James Montgomery Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 512 McClellan St, Wausau with Rev. Jennifer Dahle officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Brown, LaVerne A.  
Brown, LaVerne A. LaVerne A. "Brownie" Brown 92, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Copper Leaf Assisted Living, Schofield. She loved and was lovingly cared for by her Copper Leaf Family to whom we are so grateful. The former LaVerne Canfield was born to the late Raymond and Mary (Ewer) Canfield on August 13, 1923. She graduated from Ladysmith High in 1941. She worked at Peavey Paper Mill (Ladysmith) until it's closure in 1963. At the urging of her best friend (Marilyn Falkenthal), she packed up her children and moved to Wausau and landed a job at Wausau Paper Mill (Brokaw) where she remained employed until her retirement in 1986. Retirement didn't slow her down, she loved being outside, gardening, fishing at the cottage, and walking. She also loved her Packers and Brewers, rarely missing a game. She proudly raised and is survived by her five children, Janet (Pat) Rankin, Judy (Terry) Nosser, Sue (Mike) Drews, Bill (Pam) Brown, and Sheri (Allan) Langsdorf, fourteen grandchildren, Pat Jr. (Julie) Rankin, Kari Rankin, Krista (Bret) Frogness, Kimberly Jo (Curt) Johnson, TJ Nosser, Jeremy Nosser, Chad (Lisa) Drews, Jennifer (Jeff) Koss, Tara Olson, Michelle Brown, Maria Brown, Jessica Langsdorf, Gregory Langsdorf, and Kyle Langsdorf, twenty four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister Betty (Sis) Zmuda, sister-in-law LaVonne Canfield, many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friend Marilyn Falkenthal. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Manny Canfield, Marvin Canfield, and Allen Canfield, two sisters, Jessie Ladd, and Alice Drury, two sisters-in-law Anne Canfield, and Edna Mae Canfield, three brothers-in-law Gene Ladd, Charles Drury and Tony Zmuda. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Kenneth Albers (St. Mark's Lutheran Church) will officiate. Burial will be in Stettin Christian Cemetery, town of Stettin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. Burish, Gary A. Gary A. Burish, 57, of Marathon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 while in Escanaba, Michigan. Gary was born in Wausau on July 4, 1958 to Elton and Joyce (Urban) Burish. He was the owner and operator of Burish Masonry in Marathon and was also an employee of UPS for 35 years. Gary enjoyed being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and deer hunting. He also loved collecting sap and making maple syrup. He was a loving and caring son, brother, father, fiancé, uncle and grandfather. Gary is survived by his daughter, Brianna (Christopher) Mauney; granddaughter, Kinsley; parents, Elton and Joyce Burish; fiancé, Amy Tillman; siblings, Cheryl Zajackowski and Robert Burish; nephews, Jesse and Justin Zajackowski. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2- 4 p.m. & on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service held at 12 p.m. Visitation and memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Drive, Wausau. Burt, Brian Brian R. Burt, 59, Mosinee, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau hospital due to complications from Leukemia. He was born Oct. 23, 1956, the son of Shirley (Erickson) and the late Robert Burt. He married Marcella Springer on June 18, 1994. Brian graduated from Marshfield in 1974. He attended Technical School in Wisconsin Rapids. As a youth he participated in Saddle Club and horse shows. Brian was employed by the DeBoer Transportation Co. He also had a side business, Burt's LLC. Brian enjoyed Motorcycles and was currently a member of the S.P.H.D.M.C. of Mosinee. He was a former Vice President and member of Man of Honor of Wausau. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being the first one up in the morning with the coffee ready. Survived by brother, Brooks Burt, Marshfield; sons Bradley Burt, Marshfield, Blaine (Briana) Burt, Oakdale, MN; stepchildren, Dawn (Bill) Swanson, Mosinee, Robert (Angela) Porter, La Crosse, and Natalie (Jerry) Koch, Mosinee; grandchildren; Wesley, Brooklyn, Matthew, Bryan, Kaine, Connor, Monique and Monet; Nephew, Bryce; mother-in-law, Lillian Springer; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Edith Burt; maternal grandparents, William and Geneva Erickson; father-in-law George Springer; and step-son, Ronald Houswerth. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Friends may call from noon until time of service at the funeral home. Dumdei, Rosemary Rosemary Ruth Dumdei, 89, Wausau, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Wellington Place, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Rosemary was born May 23, 1927, in Wausau, daughter of the late Rudolph and Edna (Kaatz) Priebe. She received her education in Wausau where she graduated from high school. Rosemary worked as cook for many years, which include the Trinity Lutheran School and the Valley Inn in Rib Mountain. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with her card club. She is survived by one son David (Vicky) Dumdei of Wausau, WI, one daughter Linda (Ted) Myers of Eau Claire, WI, four grandchildren, Lindsey (Matt) Bartow, Collin Myers and Mitchell and Logan Dumdei, two great grandchildren Brayden and Nathan Bartow and two sisters Geraldine Weber of Wausau, WI and Sally Wagner of Weston, WI. Edwards, David L. David Llewyllyn Edwards died peacefully at the age of 68 on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. David was born on August 16, 1947 in Nashotah, Wisconsin. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He, along with his beloved wife Jeanette, enjoyed many interests and hobbies together. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, skiing, and watching baseball, football, and NASCAR. David was well liked in the community, and by his friends and family. He was a very helpful and giving person. His personality always filled the room with joy and laughter. He will be dearly missed. David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jeanette; his two sons, Bill (Cariann) Edwards and Brett; his sisters, Billie and Laurie (Dominic) Dominiak; his step-son, John (Angela) Elson; his grandchildren, Billy, Kayla, Justin, Ashley, and Jayden; and his best friend, Larry (Marg) Larsen. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Brainard Funeral Home - Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. The Rev. Greg Bohren will officiate.
