Fox, Harvey Stanley Harvey Stanley Fox, born Sept. 20, 1941, to Morris Fox of Iron Mountain, Michigan and Marion Berzansky Fox of Milwaukee, Wisconsin - died July 10, 2015, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau. Harvey is survived by his wife of 27 years, Irene Melonas, and four children to whom he was a beloved father: George Grammas (Carolynn), Annapolis, Maryland; Dean Grammas (Misty) Hudson, Wisconsin; Sarah Brock (Chris Gerboth) Wausau, Wisconsin; and Rebecca Macholl (Jerrad) Catawba. Wisconsin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Eleanor, Sebastian, Hunter, and Nick Grammas, Madelyn and Jackson Macholl, and Audrianna Harley Macholl, born July 12, 2015. In addition to his human family, Harvey leaves behind five rescue animals, two dogs and three cats, Rosie, Biddy, Lacey, Zoe, and Cuddles, and we know that he is joined over the rainbow bridge by four more, Andy, Wusha, Charlie and Molly. Harvey graduated with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He taught at UW-Waukesha for many years, and for 15 years at UW-Marathon County. He retired in 2010. Harvey was a passionate educator and more than a bit of an undefined equation, who touched the lives of thousands of students with his humor and love of mathematics. He had a passion for books and collected and read over 2000 on various topics which kept his mind active and engaged when he was no longer able to spend his days with his students.

Frisque, Karen M. Karen M. Frisque, 76, formerly of Green Bay, passed away in Wausau on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was born in Green Bay on Oct. 7, 1938 to the late Wilbur and Helen Boylan. Karen graduated from Green Bay East High School class of 1956 and raised her family in the Wausau area. She was employed as office manager at Northway Communications and retired in 2003. Karen enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, knitting, reading and had a love for animals. Survivors include her children, Andrew (Kay) Frisque and their children, Kellen and Andrea, all of Desert Hot Springs, CA; Martin (Sue) Frisque and their children, Zach and Rowan, all of Oconto; sister, Katy Boylan, Houston, TX. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank. Fryk, Velda Hilda  
Fryk, Velda Hilda Velda Hilda Fryk, age 89, of Waverly, died Monday, July 27, 2015, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly. Velda was born on September 24, 1925, in Birnamwood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jacob and Meta (Hilse) Pichelmeyer. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Birnamwood, Wisconsin. Velda attended Townline Country School in rural Birnamwood and later graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1942. After graduating Velda worked for Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1942 to 1945 and then for Birnamwood United States Post Office until 1947. On June 21, 1947, Velda was united in marriage to Edward Fryk in Birnamwood, Wisconsin. Velda would spend the rest of her life as a homemaker in Wisconsin until moving to Minnesota for a short time and then returned to Sparta, Wisconsin where their sons were born. They later moved to Milwaukee and in 1959 the couple moved to Waverly, Iowa, where Ed worked at Wartburg College. In 1971, the couple Velda was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waverly and Square Dance Club. She enjoyed crafting, square dancing, camping, and traveling; however, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. Velda's memory is honored by: her two sons, Bruce (Dianne) Fryk of Waverly, Iowa and Craig (Patricia Marcell) Fryk of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Dana (Michael) Jensen of Phoenix, Arizona, Breanne (Chris) Knouse of Phoenix, Arizona, Erin (Donavan) Laskey of Alexandria, Virginia, Lance (Billie Lynn) Fryk of Louisville, Kentucky, and Amanda (Jon) Atwood of Morrisville, Vermont; eight great-grandchildren, Ryder and Corbin Knouse, Ashlyn and Audbrey Jensen, Jacob and Tyler Atwood, and Lena and Harrison Laskey; and two sisters, Ruth Hintz of Birnamwood, Wisconsin and Karen (Harry) Leslie of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Velda was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Ed Fryk on November 6, 2004; and three brothers, Victor, Jacob Jr., and John Pichelmeyer. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly where family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, at Good Shepherd Chapel, Bartels Retirement Community, Waverly, Iowa, with Pastor Al Bidne officiating. Velda will be entombed at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, Wisconsin.
