Clarence Ostrowski

Clarence Ostrowski

Clarence Ostrowski, 88, Weston, died peacefully at Aspirus Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Clarence was born April 22, 1924 to the late John and Mattie (Tryba) Ostrowski in Hatley. He married Joyce Blake on Dec. 18, 1948 in Wausau. She preceded him in death on April 16, 1997.

Clarence enjoyed the (winning) Packers, beating his son Pat in cribbage and in years gone by, tinkering in his garage on winter projects and fishing in the summer. He especially had fond remembrances of fishing trips to Canada with Pat and grandson, Trever. He also enjoyed trying his luck in Vegas and supporting the local casinos. He never tired of learning. Granddaughter, Tricia helped him with his new iPad. He was very proud of two emails and was entertained by YouTube. In recent years, visits from the grandkids and great grandkids brought out the twinkle in his eyes; that and a good joke. Many will remember Clarence for his sense of humor and happy spirit. Clarence served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his son, Patrick (Cindy) Ostrowski, Wausau; six grandchildren, Steve Boyack, Madison, Chad Boyack, Milwaukee, Tricia Ostrowski, Wausau, Trever (Amanda) Ostrowski, Wausau, Stacy (Mike) Shedivy, Fond du lac and Carrie (Brent) Madson, Weston; six great-grandchildren, Jace and Riley Ostrowski, Carter and Sierra Madson, and Olivia and Graham Shedivy; two brothers, Carl Ostrowski, Mukwonago and LaVerne (Nattalie) Ostrowski, Bevent; a sister, Lillian Ostrowski; and a daughter-in-law, Loretta Boyack, Milwaukee.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Joe (Loretta) Boyack, a grandson, Travis, daughter-in-law Corrine Ostrowski, three brothers, Henry, Earl and Edward; and two sisters, Leona Stoltz and Ann Morgan.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Florian's Catholic Church, 500 Church Road, Hatley. Rev. Roy Witucki will celebrate.
