Conrad "Connie" I. Wipfli
Conrad "Connie" I. Wipfli, age 75, of Wausau died Monday, December 09, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield with his wife and two daughters by his side.
Conrad was born on September 22, 1938 in Wausau to the late Ervin and Caroline (Scholl) Wipfli. He married Martha "Marcy" Niziolek on November 10, 1962 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wausau.
Following graduation from Newman High School in 1957, Connie attended Marquette University and graduated from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee. After college, Connie worked for Thorp Finance Company, eventually managing offices in Neillsville and Wausau. In 1974, he joined the former Citizens Bank and Trust in Wausau where he was the Vice President of consumer lending. Following his retirement in banking, Connie worked in sales and service at L&S Electric in Schofield. Connie was a 54 year member of the Wausau Elks Lodge
#248. He enjoyed pheasant hunting in South Dakota since the age of 14 and was a member of the Pheasants Forever Club. Connie also loved traveling. He and Marcy spent winters in Parker, Arizona and summer weekends at their cottage on Lake Thompson in Rhinelander.
Connie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha "Marcy" Wipfli of Wausau; daughters Sue (Steve) Stenbeck of Edina, MN and Barb (Erik) Neudecker of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren Michael, Nicole, and Lauren Stenbeck and Layne and Jack Neudecker; and aunt Loretta Scholl of Wausau.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Brainard Funeral Home-Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Entombment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be used to help support Rev. Paul Fagan's mission in Tanzania.
