Daryl M. Schickert, 68, of Mosinee, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013.

He was born April 21, 1944 to Aaron and Jane (Adler) Schickert in Milwaukee. He owned and operated Daryl Sinclair Gas Station in Atwater, Minnesota. Daryl was an active member of the City Council and was a Fireman and EMT in Atwater, Minnesota. Daryl drove truck until he retired. Daryl was a Johnny Cash fan that liked to ride his motorcycle and work with wood. His family and grandchildren loved to hear his humorous stories.

Daryl is survived by his children Bradley (Candice) Schickert of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, Nadene (Mike) Schliep of Willmar, Minnesota, Ricky (Debbie) Stoltz of Weston, and Shelly Schueller of Mosinee, seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, his brother Elverne (Judy) Schickert of Erie, Colorado, and three sisters Kaaren (Myron) Spatz of Wausau, Lynette (Curtiss) Jacobson of Tomahawk, and Marliss Miller of Mosinee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Scott.

A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior National Catholic Church, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family.
