Floyd Kopchinski, 67, Mosinee, died Sunday May 12, 2013 at Saint Clare's hospital, Weston.
He was born October 24, 1945 in, to the late Florian and Belvina (Ostrowski) Kopchinski.
He was a Decorated United States Marine Sergeant serving from 1963 - 1967 during Vietnam. Floyd was actively involved in Local Union 221 and employed at Mosinee Paper Mill from 1968 - 2013 in the waste water treatment plant. He was a member of the NRA, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, working his property and spending time with his grandson.
Survivors include his son, Chad Kopchinski, Wausau; daughter, Shannon Kopchinski, Texas; stepson, John (Dorie) Bekker, Kronenwetter; grandson, Koleman Kopchinski, Wausau; and a grand dog, Yoshi.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands, Theresa (Gordan) Koppa and Roseanne (Richard) Stepan.
A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Mosinee VFW
will perform military rites at 6:00 pm.
