Woznicki, Gary Edward
Gary Edward Woznicki, 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his home in Arlington, TX surrounded by his loved ones. Gary was born on May 29, 1944 in Wausau, WI to the late Edward and Velma (Doty) Woznicki, Hatley, WI.
Gary grew up in the village of Hatley, graduating from D.C. Everest High School, Schofield, WI in 1962. He then moved to the Milwaukee area and started working in the forging business. Transferring to Texas in 1978 where he continued work in the forging business as a supervisor, purchasing manager for a telecommunications company, and ending his career back in the forging business. Gary was also an entrepreneur opening an Arcade in 1981 and also a successful restaurateur opening a Country Burger restaurant in 1994. He enjoyed car shows, NASCAR, shooting pool, dancing and most of all spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Patricia (Predmore) Woznicki, Arlington, TX, one daughter Mary (Rick) Avidano, Hollister, CA; two step children, Partricia Harrington, Dallas, TX and Michael Clayton, Dallas, TX. Also survived by his six pride and joy grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Jimmy, Joshua, Justin and Skyller; eight siblings Lee Woznicki (Kathy), Oak Creek, WI, Karen Breske, Eland, WI, Alan (Patricia) Woznicki, Schofield, WI, Susan (Lee) Klingbile, Wittenberg, WI, Carol (Wendell) Silvius, Hatley, WI, Tom Woznicki (Roberta/Rebecca), Hatley, WI, Daniel Woznicki (Brenda), Mukwonago, WI, Donald (Cathy) Woznicki, Rothschild, WI, and a half sister Nancy (Leonard) Salzman, Wausau, WI. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Diane (Ron) Geurink, Gleason, WI, and one brother Clifford Woznicki, Hatley, WI. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Saint Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am, with a Memorial Service at 11 am, followed by burial in the church cemetery. A luncheon will follow his burial in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made to St. Jude's in his honor.
