Jane Raymond

Jane N. Raymond, age 79, of Wausau died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Milwaukee.

Jane was born on March 4, 1933 in Wausau to the late Caroll and Zadith (Lane) Salvador. She married Frederick Raymond Sr. on June 4, 1955 at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau.

Jane was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Wausau and worked with the church newsletters "Beam Team." She was also very crafty and enjoyed sewing, stitching, and making homemade gifts for people. Spending time together with her sisters during their frequent get togethers was something she always looked forward too, it meant a lot to her.

Jane is survived by her three sons Paul (Paula) Raymond of Kronenwetter, Frederick (Peggy) Raymond Jr. of Mosinee, and Scott (Sherry) Raymond of Oshkosh; four sisters Betty Dustin, Lillian Krause, Maribeth Schulz, and Terrie Kordus; brother-in-law Edward Crotteau; eight grandchildren Eric Raymond, Danielle Raymond, Frederick Raymond III, Brianne Madden, Cody Raymond, Alyssa Raymond, Jessica Raymond, and Katie Raymond; three great grandchildren Landon, Zack, and Alana; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick Raymond Sr., two sisters Dona Buttenhoff and Virginia Crotteau, brothers-in-law James Dustin, Lawrence Buttenhoff, William Krause, and Les Schulz.

Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 406 Grant St., Wausau. The Rev. Joy Nelson Jeffers will officiate. Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Sunday.

The family would like thank the nurses who cared for Jane these last two weeks. We really appreciate the care you gave her and know that too often we don't say "Thank You' enough to nurses. Also, thank you to all of the doctors at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to all of her wonderful neighbors for helping her throughout the years with her household needs.
