Jeanette "Janet" Komarek
Jeanette (Janet) Komarek recently expired at County Terrace assisted living facility in Abbotsford, WI. on May 20, 2013 at age 77.
Janet was born at home in the town of Rietbrock. She was delivered by her fabulous dad Frank (Pat) Zettler along with her identical twin sister Irene, who is still hitting on all cylinders. Pat and his wonderful wife Sophia (Boris) Zettler are both deceased.
Janet married young, to town of Johnson's life long resident, John Komarek Jr., also born at his home. They farmed in that township on gifted land from his nice parents, John Sr. and Marcella (Meyer) Komarek, also deceased. They bought another farm and herded the cows south on Silveleaf Rd. in 1966. John Jr. died in 1978 and Janet sustained the farm until 1980.
Janet moved to Abby with daughters Deb and Kelly. She worked at Casa Grande Supper Club, managed the Abby Café, worked at Welcome Dairy and finished her work sentence at Hurd Millwork in Medford. She enjoyed her Hurd's work with her sister Joyce.
Janet lived her life to near full. She knew how to have a really good time. She went to Europe, the Bahamas, Georgia, California, Arizona and points in between. She loved plants and most creatures, except snakes and worms, the Packers, sheeps head, pinochle, and a good party.
Janet nursed and weaned 6 children. Sadly she had to see and endure 3 of her kid's untimely demises, Bonnie, Kelly, and Brian. Surviving children are Lynette (Dale) Hanne, Terry (Glenda M.) Komarek, and Debra (Bob) Rudolf. Surviving siblings are Irene (James) Switlick, Joyce (Ray) Schemenauer, Rusty Zettler, and Glen (Kathleen) Zettler. Her brother, Duane Zettler, is with her now. Surviving sisters-in-law are Donna Gierl, Geraldine (Donald) Zettler, Ruth (Donnie) Komarek, brother-in-law Alford (Charlotte) Hoffman, many nieces and nephews, grand and great grandkids, many 1st cousins and so forth, you know who you are.
She touched many people's lives and will be sadly missed and remembered. She was a mom and grandmom to many and friend. We miss and love you.
