Samuelson, Lois M.

Lois M. Samuelson, age 74, of Tomahawk, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wis. She was born December 29, 1937, in Montevideo, Minn., to the late Mason and Mayme Satterlie. Lois was a 1955 graduate of Granite Falls Minnesota High School. She was married to Don Samuelson on November 4, 1961, in Eau Claire, Wis.; he survives.

Lois and Don lived in Minneapolis for 20 years and in Wausau for 20 years. They moved to the Tomahawk area in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. She was a former Member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Wausau. She was a member of St. Matthew Circle of Joy. Lois volunteered at St. Matthew Catholic School and was a Forensics coach there. She also volunteered at Newman Catholic High School in Wausau. She enjoyed fishing; especially ice fishing, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Don Samuelson, of Tomahawk, one son, Jim "Sammy" (Kelly) Samuelson, of Schofield, Wis., and one daughter, Molly (Roo) Rundle of Tomahawk. Lois is further survived by four grandchildren, Corben, Hannah, Trevor, and Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Patrick Samuelson in 2009.

Memorial Mass for Lois Samuelson will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Rev. John Anderson will officiate. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Generations Funeral Home at 1400 N. 4th St. in Tomahawk. Visitation continues Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11 a.m.
