Michael D. Rheinschmidt, 58, 2341 Fawn Road, Mosinee, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his home, under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
He was born Dec. 30, 1953, in Wausau, the son of Delight (Giese) Rheinschmidt, Mosinee, and the late Donald Rheinschmidt.
He was a U.S. Army
veteran serving as a MP during the Korean Conflict
and was a member of the VFW
Post 8733. He was a self-employed master carpenter.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors. There wasn't anything he wouldn't hunt or fish. He shared himself so openly with everyone he met and would do anything to help someone regardless if you were a friend or stranger. He forged lifelong friendships everywhere he went, from Alaska, Hawaii, California, Mississippi, and at home in Mosinee. Whether you knew him as Mike,
"Big Mike", or "Big Foot", his laughter will be with us forever.
