Terry Ambord, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Watertown on Wednesday, April th, at the age of 69. He is now safe in the hands of our Lord.
Terry was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Milwaukee, to Frank and Margaret (Schattschneider) Ambord. He graduated from Muskego High School in June, 1964, and served in the Army
(1965-67). He married Rae Lynn Weiter on October 12, 1968. Terry and Rae resided in Racine for 8 years, Rothschild for 26 years and have lived in Watertown the past 14 years.
Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years; son, Jeff and Theresa (Hattenhauer) Ambord with grandchildren, Will, Milo, Elsie, and StellaRae; son, Joel and Hannet (Tibagwa) Ambord with grandchildren, Warren and Holden; daughter, TerriRae and Quinn Noel with grandchildren, Gavin, Mallory, Talan, and Anika; son, Zac and Jen (Kannel) and grandson, Camden; his brothers, Richard (Helen) Ambord and Arthur Ambord; brothers-in-law, Guy (Kathy) Weiter and Ned Weiter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
One of Terry's wishes was that all of his family and friends knew how much he appreciated all the compassion and loving care he received during the cancer treatment process at the UW Hospital and Rainbow Hospice services. Terry lived life with enthusiasm and took his final journey with courage and grace. He is already greatly missed.
Terry was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Watertown Elks Lodge
, the Academy of Model Aeronautics and was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation services will be at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, on Sunday, from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Mass will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown on Monday, May 5, at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Henry Catholic Church or to the family for a living tree.
