Althea was one of the neatest people I have ever met. Just a special person and anyone who has ever met her would say the same thing. I always enjoyed her visits with me. She always had a smile & the most amazing stories about growing up, the history of Athens and so much more. You just couldn't help but get caught up in each story. I often told her that she needed to write a book so she could share all her stories and knowledge with others. I guess I will have to wait until we meet again to here another story. You will be sadly missed Althea.

I want to send my condolences to all of Althea's family and her many cousins, me included. I remember a long time ago when Althea stayed at my parent's home in Wausau while she attended nursing school. I also remember her for asking me to be the god-father to Fritz which I could only do by long distance as I was in the army at the time. Althea and I were active in keeping a genealogy of the Bloch family and she provided me with a lot of information. I will always remember her as one of my favorite cousins. I only wish I could be there at this sad time.
