Arthur P. Bierman, 84, Bowler, died Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born on October 23, 1928 in the town of Almon, the son of the late Paul and Lillian (Baker) Bierman.
On December 19, 1964, Arthur was united in marriage to Louise Wicke in Bowler. She survives.
Art farmed in the town of Almon for over 40 years and logged for many years after that. He enjoyed hunting and bowling. He also pitched softball for years and was talented on roller-skates and could even dance on them. Art loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed the time he spent with Logan and Brittany in the woods teaching them the leaves and trees, babysitting Brooke and Brandi and teaching Bryce how to drive the four-wheeler. His great-granddaughters always had a way of cheering him up and putting a smile on his face.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Bierman, Bowler; three children, Bobbi Jo (Wayne) Diers, Birnamwood, Kristi (Martin) Riessner, Birnamwood and Cynthia (Jay) Teschke, Bonduel; three granddaughters, Brittany (Joey), Brooke (Allen) and Brandi (Kole); three grandsons, Logan, Bryce and Adam; two great-granddaughters, Jaydalee and Brooklyn; two sisters, Linda (Kenneth) Wolf and Ethel (Allen) Matz, all of Mattoon; two brothers, Paul (Bev) Bierman, Bowler and Howard (Audrey) Bierman, Birnamwood; one brother-in-law, Frank (Evelyn) Wicke, Wittenberg and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Matz and Linda Wicke, both of Birnamwood. He is also survived by a special boy, Ryan Malueg and his family as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Hanke; two brothers, Lawrence Bierman and LeRoy Bierman and two brothers-in-law, Arthur Wicke and Eugene Matz.
The Funeral Service will be held at 6pm on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be on Friday from 3pm until the time of services at the funeral home.
