Chad David Wogernese, 30 of Appleton died Wednesday September 25, 2013 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 11, 1983 in Wausau, WI, son of Dennis and the late Carol (Vanish) Wogernese. Chad married Colleen Peterson on November 12, 2010.

Chad worked as a sandblaster for Profile Finishing Systems of Kaukauna for eight years. He was very proud of his accomplishments as an Eagle Scout. Chad enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Brewer fan. His greatest love and joy came from time spent with his family, especially his two sons, Ethan and Nolan.

Chad is survived by his loving wife, Colleen; his two sons, Ethan, and Nolan; his father, Dennis, Mosinee, WI; sister, Jennifer, Appleton, WI; five brothers, Michael (Cheryl), Mosinee, Joshua (Amanda), Pembine, William (Abigail), Wausau, WI, Lucas (Leann), Montello, WI, and Clint (Jessica), Appleton, WI. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Vanish; mother-in-law, Sharon Peterson, Hainesville, IL; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chad was further preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Vanish; paternal grandfather and mother, Clarence and Stella Wogernese; father-in-law, Gary Peterson; brother-in-law, Zachary Peterson; and sister-in-law, Courtney Peterson.

A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be 11:30 AM on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at ST MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, N2385 Municipal Dr, Greenville, with Fr. Dan Felton officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening, September 30, beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at St Mary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial for Ethan and Nolan has been established.

Chad's family would like to thank the entire staffs at both Theda Clark Medical Center, and Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, for all of their care and compassion.
