Damozelle "Dom" Gordon Obituary
Damozelle "Dom" Gordon, 79 Rothschild, passed away Saturday evening, April 21, 2012, at Cedar Creek Manor in Kronenwetter.

She was born Feb. 8, 1933, to parents Edwin and Pearl (Kaminski) Jankiewicz in Wauwatosa. She was a graduate of Wausau High School. After eloping with William Gordon on Aug. 26, 1950, in Illinois, they had their marriage blessed at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Milwaukee on March 28, 1951.

Dom enjoyed gardening and her flowers grew more beautiful with every passing year, irises being her favorite flower. She was extremely active with her church throughout her life as a CCD teacher, musician, cantor and choir member. As president of Morality in Media of Wisconsin, she was a strong advocate for responsible media. She had a lifelong dream to visit Rome, which was fulfilled at age 70 as a result of a very special birthday gift for her 69 1/2 year birthday party given by her children.

Dom was extremely proud of her family, and especially of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Ronald) Dassler, Weston, son, Lorn (Marlyn) Gordon, Kronenwetter, Monica (Gerard) Fisher, Ringle, Barbara Dahm, Medford, and Maria (James) Koch, Kansasville; son-in-law, Randy Bergmann, Arkansas; brother, Barry (Kathleen) Jankiewicz, Colorado; sister, Bernadette (Daniel) Bashinski, Wausau; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Pearl (Kaminski) Jankiewicz; husband, William Gordon; daughter, Kateri Bergmann; foster son, Gerry Bredlau; and great-grandson, Kelson Fisher.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home and Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society are assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to Morality in Media of Wisconsin, which can be sent in care of John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave., Schofield, WI 54476.
