Rieck, Kenneth "Kenbo"

Kenneth J. "Kenbo" Rieck, Mosinee, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.

He was born Oct. 29, 1952, in Wausau, the son of the late James H. and Joyce (Rockman) Rieck.

He was a US Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Enterprise during the Vietnam War. Ken worked at Wisconsin Public Service for the past several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with some very special friends. Ken was often seen watching his nephews play hockey for the Papermakers and liked watching all sports on TV and participating in their fantasy games.

Kenbo's witty sense of humor, one liners and easy going attitude resulted in many lasting friendships. He will be greatly missed by his family and his huge circle of friends.

Survivors include his sisters and brother, Sandra (Thomas) Pecha and Susan (Robert) Koskey, both of Mosinee, Kathleen (Francis) Hertel, Marshfield, Diane (Thomas) Michalski and John (Natalie) Rieck, both of Mosinee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jameson "Jamo" Rieck.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Gloria Stubitsch will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Mosinee EMS crew and the staff at St. Clare's Hospital for the wonderful care given to Kenbo.
