Robert W. Krueger, age 90, of Wausau died Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Robert was born June 12, 1922 in Wausau to the late Oscar and Edith (Curtis) Krueger. He served his country honorably in the US Coast Guard as a Carpenter Mate 3rd Class during World War II. He married Shirley Paulus on August 20, 1949. They were married for 63 wonderful years.
Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved carpentry, hockey, bowling and watching sports on TV. Robert always looked forward to time spent with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He will be remembered for being a generous man with a great sense of humor.
Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley Krueger of Wausau; children David Krueger of Wausau, Gary (Barb) Krueger of Delavan, Ronald (Sue) Krueger of Aniwa, and Esther (Loren) White of Weston; brother Harvey Krueger; sister Bette (Wally) Radloff; five grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Lloyd Krueger.
Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. The Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Robert Krueger.
