Sophie Wojdac, 93, formerly of 984 Ana Hulu St., Diamondhead, Miss., and previously lived 38 years in Knowlton, died the 5th day of May in 2012 at the home of Julia Wojdacz, her daughter, located in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Erie, W.V., daughter of the late Frances Borowa and Alexander Ambroziak Sr. She married Frank Wojdac on April 30, 1938, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death. Gerald Wojdac and Lorraine Kordus also preceded her in death.
Sophie was a wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her children, Arline (David) Stark of Mosinee, Lawrence Wojdac of Richland, Wash., Virginia Wojdac (Ben) of Oshkosh, David Wojdac of Tampa, Fla., Valerie Acosta of El Paso, Texas, John Wojdac of Peplin, Wis., Veronica (Frank) Walker of Milwaukee, James (Lorraine) Wojdac of Mosinee and Julia Wojdacz of St. Louis. Sophie is also survived by her brother, Alexander Ambroziak of Stevens Point; along with 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery on Highway C in Knowlton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.
