Sylvia E. Baumann, 95, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2013, in Wausau. She was born August 28, 1917, to Julius and Bertha (Weiland) Wendorf. Sylvia married Norris Baumann on August 13, 1938 and they were blessed with fifty-seven years of marriage. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, reading, spending time at the cottage, and had a special love for her dogs. Sylvia worked at the Ben Franklin store in Wausau until she retired in 1979. She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband, two children, Wayne Baumann and Susann Larsen, son-in-law, Dave Larsen, two brothers, Norman Wendorf and Vernon Wendorf. Sylvia is survived by daughter, Cora Lekvin, Merrill, three grandchildren, Ivan Krienke, Merrill, Becky (Curt) Deininger, Merrill, Lanette (Jayson) Lemmer, Weston, and great granddaughter, Samantha Deininger. A private family service will be held on July 19, 2013 at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield. John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
