Juedes, Lorraine "Laurie"

Lorraine "Laurie" B. Juedes, 86, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Renaissance Assisting Living, Weston, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Lorraine was born July 15, 1927 to the late Stephen and Lena (Walenczyk) Radtke in Wausau. On July 19, 1947 she married Herman "Bud" Juedes in Wausau.

Lorraine was a homemaker and loved to bake cookies and give them to neighbors, friends and even strangers as her way of reaching out. She took great pride in her home and loved to play cards and talk to people. After Bud's retirement they traveled across the United States, stopping to visit family members in various states.

Lorraine is survived by her son, David (Abby) Juedes of Hatley and a sister Dorothy Blanchard of Maryland. She was preceded in death by one brother George Radtke, three sisters: Eleanore Von Denk, Dolores Hanke and MaryAnn Sherfinski, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Brainard Funeral Home - Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. The Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau.
