Lindemann, Burdette "Bud"

Burdette "Bud" E. Lindemann, 89, of Wausau, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Bud was born Nov. 24, 1924 to the late Leo and Lucy (Bartelt) Lindemann in New London, WI. He was a graduate from Wausau High School where he played football and he later went on to graduate from Valparaiso University in Indiana. Bud served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge. He married Carol Polzer on July 25, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN. She preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2014.

Bud worked at Wausau Insurance for many years and retired in 1985. He loved traveling with his wife as they went on may cruises and trips where they would golf together. Bud also enjoyed watching all kinds of sports.

Survivors include many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at First English Lutheran Church, 402 N. 3rd Ave. Wausau. Rev. Erik Olson will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Tuesday.
