Delos C. Prehn
Delos C. Prehn, Jr. 85, of Townline Road, Wausau, left this world on June 21, 2014, to be with his beloved wife Claudia. He was born and raised in Wausau, lived in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Brown Deer, Wisconsin, then returned to Wausau in early 2014.
Delos was an accomplished artist throughout his life. He originally met his wife, Claudia, while at University of Wisconsin School of Art, Madison. They later married in 2006. His artistry included pen and ink, oils, clay and metal sculpture and he was particularly skilled in caricatures and cartoons.
He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954, which included combat during the Korean War.
He was loved by his entire family, and is survived by his brothers, Donald F. (Patricia) Prehn, of Wausau, David J. (Jill) Prehn of Jupiter, Florida, and nieces and nephews Victoria Prehn, Ronald Prehn, Constance Walters, Frederick Prehn, and Robert Prehn and a number of grand-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Claudia, his parents, Delos C. Prehn Sr. and Anita Mueller Prehn, and his nephew Richard Prehn.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street in Wausau, WI. Visitation will be from 3:30pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Interim Hospice, 2402 Grand Ave., Wausau, WI or the Boy Scouts of America - Samoset Council, 3713 Camp Phillips Road, Schofield, WI
