Patricia "Pat" Gronert Schiefelbein, age 83, of Eau Claire, WI, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Altoona, WI.

Pat was born April 15, 1931 in Niagara, WI. She married Charles Schiefelbein at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara on July 31, 1954; he preceded her in death in 1970.

Pat graduated from Niagara High School in 1949. She moved to Wausau where she worked 5 years for Employers Insurance before joining Dr. Enoch Brick as Secretary for 17 years. She then Joined North Central Health Care Facilities in the Medical Records Department, gaining her Medical Record Assistant Accreditation

in 1982. She worked in the Records department and Served as Quality Assurance Assistant, retiring in 1998. She sang in St. James senior choir for 50 years and frequently was soloist. After her retirement, She volunteered at St. James Church (Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ), Newman High School and North Central Health Care Facilities. She moved to Eau Claire in June, 2008 to be closer to her daughter and family.

Pat is survived by one daughter, Mary (Harlan) Zahrt , Chippewa Falls; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Rachel, Madison, WI; a sister, Ruth (John) Joswiak, Minocqua, WI; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Church of the Resurrection, 621 N. 2nd St. Wausau. The Rev. Bill Grevatch will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Church of the Resurrection, 621 N. 2nd St., Wausau, WI 54403.
