Fichtner, Paul A.

Paul Allen Fichtner, 52, passed into Heaven on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston, with his mother, aunts, uncles and Father Marion Talaga at his side.

Paul was born to Dale A. Fichtner of Minnesota and Patsy May Resch of Rothschild on July 20, 1961 in Perham, MN. At an early age, Paul developed an interest in astronomy, astrology, cosmos, ancient Biblical history and artifacts. He enjoyed computer games and even built his own computer.

Paul worked at Wausau Insurance, Kolbe & Kolbe and at a casino in computer management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Management and Science, graduating Cum Laude and was very proud of his accomplishments.

As a child, Paul liked riding his dirt bike, snowmobiling, motorcycles, old muscle cars and camping with his brother, friends and cousins. He also enjoyed hunting small game and building forts with Rick Graveen. His cat "Boots" was his shadow and best friend during his illness.

Surviving Paul are his parents, his brother, Marc Fichtner, Wausau; God parents, John and Sally Albrantz; great-aunt, Irene Schmitz; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends; and his uncle Jim Roll, who taught him how to catch bass.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Ethel Resch and Edwin and Helen Fichtner.

A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, technicians, ER staff and everyone who helped provide Paul's loving care. Special thanks also to Father Marion who has become a very special friend. Paul will be missed, especially by mom.
