Goldeen L. Kriesel, 99, Elderon, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.

She was born on December 5, 1914 in Durand, WI, the daughter of the late Peter and Lillian (Bien) Patnode.

On September 12, 1933, Goldeen was united in marriage to Arthur Kriesel in White Lake. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1981.

Goldeen worked at Hanson Glove in Clintonville and at Nueske's Meats in Wittenberg for over 30 years, retiring at the of age 87. She was a member of Holy Family - St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg and the Elderon Post #8068 Ladies Auxiliary. Goldeen enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons, Carl (Betty) Kriesel, Tigerton, John Kriesel, Manawa, Frank (Judy) Kriesel, Appleton, Roy (Martha) Kriesel, Racine and Eugene Kriesel, Elderon; two daughters, Catherine Burke, Menasha and Mary (Robert) Knitter, Eland; three grandchildren, Michael (Judy) Burke, Freemont, Dawn Suprise, Greenville and Rebecca (A.J.) Hurst, Madison; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Phyllis Dollar, Wildrose. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Patricia Kriesel and other relatives.

In addition to her parents and husband, Goldeen was preceded in death by one son, Arthur, Jr. and her siblings, Gladys Sanders, Mary Popelka, Darell, Josephine Schlesinger, Vivian Krahn, Frank and Kenneth.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Holy Family-St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg. Rev. Patrick Lloyd will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 9am until 10:45am at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg.
