Uldene Jablonski Obituary
Jablonski, Uldene "Tootie"

Uldene "Tootie" Evelyn Jablonski, 88, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Mount View Center, Wausau.

Uldene was born in Edgar on March 8, 1926 daughter of the late Paul and Marion (Kurtzweil) Grosskreutz. On October 29, 1952 she married George R. Jablonski at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. George passed away on March 28, 2006 after 53 years of marriage.

Tootie cherished family above all else, always looking forward to visits from her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and canning the vegetables George raised in his garden. After retirement, the Jablonski's enjoyed many activities which included traveling, dancing as well as many hours playing cribbage together. Tootie also enjoyed going for boat rides, a bit of gambling, and baking—the cookie jar was always full of her tasty treats.

Uldene is survived by six children, Fortune (John) Jacobs, The Villages, Fla., Lynn (Paul Flynn) Stieber, Eau Claire, Steven (Linda) Jablonski, Wausau, James Jablonski, Hudson, Kevin (Kimberly) Jablonski, Alamo, Calif., and Kathryn (Brian) Krenz, Beaver Dam; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Ella Grosskreutz, West Allis, and stepsister, Ella Kufahl, Wausau. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike Alft, two sisters, Leone Bodwin and Diane Eckert, three brothers, Kenneth, Darrell, and Eugene Grosskreutz, her stepmother, Clara Grosskreutz, three step siblings, Leona Hoffman, George Draeger and Reinhardt Draeger.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 23, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
