Priscilla Ann Leiter, 75, Mosinee, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born Jan. 4, 1939 in Mosinee, daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (Simonis) Koch. On June 24, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart Peter "Ozzie" Leiter Jr. They spent 49 years together before his death on Oct. 5, 2010.
Priscilla wore many hats: beautician, chef, CAN of 22 years. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice where she sang at weddings, funerals and special events. She loved to travel, movies, reading, playing cards and special times spent with family and friends. She was a people person with a big heart and loved to help others and always found humor in the trials of life. She was "Nurse Betty" and "queen of the leftovers". Volunteering was her passion whether it was at church or doing manicures at Acorn Hills. She was also with the summer theatre for five years.
She was blessed with three children, Scott (Tara) Leiter, Wausau, Rene (Greg) Reissmann, Wausau, and Marty (Jennifer) Leiter, Ashville, NC.; seven Grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb, Ashley, Josie, Emily, Nick, and Kimberly; two Great-Grandsons, Kayden and Tanner; and a brother, Gordon "Peter" (Joyce) Koch, Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley, and a Granddaughter, Paige.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at United Methodist Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Park Hunter will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Visitation will be again 10:00 a.m., Friday until the time of the service at the church.
