Ralph Kapellen Obituary
- - Fell asleep in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the age of 84. Loving husband of Dorothy L. (nee Hundt) "Dottie" for 60 years this coming May. Cherished father of Diane (Greg) Kosmider, Ruth (Chris) Dolney, Karen (Bill) Krueger, Sandy (Alex) Gaeth, and Lori (Steve) Bower. Dear grandpa of Billy, Kristina (TJ), Jessica, Jason, Samantha, Benjamin, Rachel, Jeremy, Katelyn. Alyssa, and Eric. Dear brother of Mabel Zahrt and Dorothy (Ted) Radtke. Further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday, January 26, 2018, at Abiding Word Ev. Lutheran Church, 9420 W. Capitol Drive, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 noon. Private Interment at Valhalla Memorial Park. If desired, memorials, in his memory, to Abiding Word Ev. Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight (http://www.starsandstripeshonorflight.org/donate/) is appreciated.
Ralph retired, after 38 years, as a Master Electrician of Holt Electric and was a member of Local 494. He proudly served his country in the Korean War, in the Navy, as a 1st Electrician and served on a mine sweeper.

My thoughts are with you at this sad time. I have many fond memories of when we were on the bowling team at Gloria Dei. From going to the tournaments and playing cards , Ralph was a realy wonderful person and will be missed by many. May your memories bring comfort to all of you.

To my Dad, as we celebrate your life tomorrow, I know you will help me remain strong. I will shed a few tears but I will remind myself that you are in no pain and you are in heaven with your wings, smiling at us. You lived a great life, with a beautiful wife and had 5 daughters, 11 grand children, and many friends and relatives that love you very much. The memories that you made will remain in our hearts and live on. Until we meet again, heaven is our home. I love you!
