John D. Dziak Obituary
John D. Dziak, 65, of Mosinee, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Kronenwetter, son of the late John and Katherine (Zielonko) Dziak. He married Kristi Bartel on Jan. 18, 1985, in Mosinee where they lived during their marriage of 27 years. She survives.

John graduated in 1964 from Mosinee High School. He respectfully served as a motor pool sergeant (E-5), in the United States Army where he received training to be a mechanic, meat cutter and secretary. He was most proud of his tour of duty in Germany. He also worked for Weyerhaeuser for 41 years on machine No. 5 as a papermaker/machine tender. John loved to hunt, fish, camp and "tinker" in his garage with his brother and friends. He lived his life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors besides his wife, Kristi, include two daughters, Mary (Christopher) Zahn, Mosinee, and Leslie (James) Waterman, Wausau; four grandchildren, Samantha and Nicholas Zahn, and Melanie and Hannah Consolver; three brothers, Edward (Karen) Dziak, Mosinee, Raymond (Carol) Dziak, Amherst, Va., and Bruno Dziak, Rolla, Mo.; three sisters, Vi Cieslelski, Milwaukee, Alice Broehm, Saukville, and Betty Hess, Eden Prairie, Minn.; father-in-law, Gilbert Bartel, Minneapolis; mother-in-law, Joyce (Robert) Klusmeyer, Horicon; brother-in-law, Kim (Linda) Bartel, Vernal, Utah; two sisters-in-laws, Denise Zoromski, Mosinee, and Lori (Darell) Buker, Perris, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Stanley Dziak.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Dennis Prazuch will officiate. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
