Bonnie Rae Lang, 79, of Washington, Ill., died at 5:10 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Ill.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1933, in Wausau, to her parents Adolph and Emma Sommerfelt Gering, she married Reuben Lang on Oct. 1, 1955, in Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1984.
Surviving are four children, Kevin (Rebecca) Lang, of Creve Coeur, Ill., Jamie Lang, of North Pekin, Ill., Brian (Jeanne) Lang, of Pekin, Ill., and Scott (Lynn) Lang, of Washington, Ill. Bonnie is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Bonnie enjoyed being a home interior displayer. She was a member at St. Monica Church in East Peoria, Ill. She also was an active volunteer at Illinois Cancer Care since 2002.
Local visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, Ill., where a service will follow at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home in Marathon. A graveside service will begin at noon on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Marathon.
