Lois Aschenbrenner, 60, passed away January 1, 2013 on the presence of her second family at Natures Walk Group Home in Wausau. Lois was born January 22, 1952 in Wausau, daughter of the late LeRoy and Ruth (Reissmann) Aschenbrenner.
Lois graduated from the D.C. Everest Home School program in May 1973. She always enjoyed her summers up north and her time at Camp Waubeck. She lived at Natures Walk, Opportunities Inc. in Wausau. She enjoyed taking part in the many actives offered at the Opportunities Center, but she really loved to shop for clothes and go out to eat.
Lois is survived by one brother David (Sharon) Aschenbrenner of Schofield, two sisters Carol (Nunzio) Italiano of Brown Deer, and Shirley (John) Gritzmacher of Hatley; six nieces and nephews, three step-nieces and nephews, ten great-nieces and nephews, and five step-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield; with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Larry Treece officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to the United Cerebral Palsy.
The family is eternally grateful and thankful for the loving care Lois received throughout the years from her second family. Special thanks for all who cared for Lois during her last week.
