Kayleigh Mae Gurzynski, age 5, died in her mother's loving arms, at her home away from home, The Children's Hospital in Milwaukee on May 28, 2013 at 1:55 a.m. After struggling with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, Turner's Syndrome and Multiple other health complications, Kayleigh received her heavenly wings as she passed gently into the arms of Jesus.
Kayleigh is the daughter of Melissa Persike and Scott Gurzynski of Wausau. She is an inspiration to all who had the priviledge of knowing, interacting and learning about her life's journey. Kayleigh inspired all who encountered her with her courage, determination, never ending fight to live, her infectious smile and her unconditional love. She enjoyed listening and dancing to music, being held close and rocked in her rocking chair by her loving mother and grandparents and of course she loved her Coca Cola Classic. She is loved by all who met her, and will be greatly missed for she made an impact on all those she has met.
Kayleigh resided in Rib Mountain with her mother and grandparents (Jim and Luanne Persike). She is survived by her parents, great grandmothers, grandparents, countless Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, half sister and her extended family that aided her on her journey in all of the medical institutions around the state.
