David R. Loebbaka, Mesa, AZ, formerly of Mosinee, WI, died peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2013, at his home.
Dave was born April 24, 1937, in New London, to the late Raymond and Grace (Cummings) Loebbaka. He married the late Julie Strohmeyer on Sept. 10, 1960, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Dave honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Dave worked for Sysco Foods of Baraboo, retiring after 29 years of dedicated service. Throughout those years of service, Dave won numerous awards and earned many trips across the U.S. and several foreign countries. After retirement he continued to enjoy working part-time for food service brokerages and would often be seen at trade shows; as well as enjoying the campfire at his place on Horsehead Lake in Lake Tomahawk. Dave and Julie both enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Survivors include sons, Paul (Michelle) Loebbaka, Appleton; and Andy (Renee) Loebbaka, Mosinee; grandchildren, Brenden, Spencer and Tyler Loebbaka, Appleton; Riley and Jacob Loebbaka, Mosinee; sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Winkel, Sheboygan; and Karen (John) Kromberg, Yorba Linda, CA; Agnes (Thomas) Gruenke, Sheboygan; and Laura (Richard) McDonald, Cerritos, CA. brother, Robert (Joan) Loebbaka, Sheboygan;
Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Julie and brother-in-law, John Kromberg.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Sheboygan, WI. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from noon to 1:30 p.m.; Mass from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.
