Stanley Kurszewski Obituary

Stanley S. Kurszewski

Stanley S. Kurszewski, 74, Wittenberg, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home.

He was born on August 6, 1938 in Wittenberg, the son of the late Felix and Frances (Plaski) Kurszewski.

Stanley was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

On October 16, 1965, Stanley was united in marriage to Delores Tryba at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Galloway. She survives.

The couple farmed in the town of Germania, Shawano County, for many years. Stanley also worked at Greenheck Fan Corporation for over 30 years until his retirement. Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving his four-wheeler. Most important to him was the time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Delores, Wittenberg; three children, Tina (Todd) Weber, Hatley, Scott Kurszewski, Wittenberg and Tricia (fiancé Paul Olson) Kurszewski, Rosholt; three grandchildren, Tyler, Arianna and Victoria; his siblings, Charles (Arlene) Kurszewski and Felix Kurszewski Jr., all of Wittenberg, Mary (Donald) Lehman, Tigerton, Delores (Glen) Wiza, Rosholt and Betty (Pepe) Gonzalez, Guadalajara, Mexico; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald Rettkowski, Tigerton, Lorraine Kurszewski, Rosholt, Gary Tryba, Wittenberg and Linda Tryba, Green Bay and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his siblings, Agnes in infancy, Alex, Anthony and Shirley Rettkowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion, Post #502. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 4PM to 6PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg and again on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at the church. There will be a Rosary recited at 6PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family guestbook and condolences are available at schmidtschulta.com
