Theodore C. Mader

Theodore C. Mader, 79, Hatley, died on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his home under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born on December 9, 1934 in the town of Hamburg, the son of the late Theodore and Esther (Hanke) Mader. On August 5, 1967, Theodore was united in marriage to Elaine Gureski in Hatley. She survives.

Theodore was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the Ringle VFW. He was employed at Marathon Electric for 40 years until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, Theodore enjoyed spending time in the woods cutting wood, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed going 'up north' to the cabin, playing cards and listening to country music.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; children, Dale (Teresa) Mader, Louisville, KY, David (Kit) Mader, Kenosha and Linda Draeger, Weston; a step-son, Brian (Terry) Gureski, Hatley; five grandchildren, Kelci, Paje, Cameron, Brandon and Heath; brothers, Jim (Joyce) Mader, West Bend and Melvin (Phyllis) Mader, Stettin and a sister, Vernell (Robert) Calmes, Weston.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law,Major Rhory Draeger, and brothers, Vernon, Jerry and Eugene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3pm, Sunday, May 4, 2014 at St. Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley. Fr. Roy Witucki will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1pm until the time of service at the church.
