Elizabeth Ann Martin, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born June 30, 1931, in Waverly, daughter of Wm. Adrian and Elda Propp Martin.
She graduated from Waverly High School and earned a BA degree from Wartburg College. She taught English in Oelwein before earning her Masters degree from the University of Minnesota. She was employed with the University of Northern Iowa, retiring as head of the Library Science Department. She loved to travel and enjoyed many countries of the world. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying UNI, Iowa and Iowa State sports and had a soft spot for the Chicago Cubs.
Survived by: 10 nieces and nephews: Nancy Kendall, Diane Muzzy, Jean Noble, Patti Caputo, Jack Brierly, Linda Rutherford, Laura DiPietro, Sharon Riley, David Brierly and Julie Terry; and 22 great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: two sisters, Margaret Clark and Ruth Brierly; and a brother, Jim Martin.
Services: a gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly.
