Paxton Miller, 15, of Waverly, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27, as the result of a single car accident east of New Hartford.

Paxton was born on July 12, 1996, in Waterloo. He was a sophomore at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School.
He enjoyed playing baseball, football and was a fan of all sports. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, skateboarding, swimming and tubing with his friends in the river, turtle catching, polishing rocks, video games, art, music (Kiss, Bob Marley and Cotton Mouth Kings were his favorites), and he was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.
Paxton is survived by his mother, Brooke Koleno (Jeffrey DeWitt) of Waverly; his father, David Miller of Waterloo; two sisters, Mariana Reina Carrillo and Maria Kristina Carrillo of Waverly; one brother, David Miller Jr., of Waterloo; his maternal grandparents, Mary and Erle Raymer of Waverly and James and Linda Koleno of Dunkerton; and his paternal grandparents, Errol Miller of Florida and Diane Miller of Waterloo.
Paxton is also survived by uncles, Mike (Mary) Raymer, Pat (Kate) Raymer, Steven Miller and Jimmy Miller and aunt Carly Mennenga (Mike Arenholz). Cousins include Nick and Brandon Raymer, Britton, Taylor, and Chase Raymer, and Brinley and Jaxon Raymer. Paxton also had a host of friends.
Paxton was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Gertrude Raymer, Erle Raymer Sr., Jule (Dude) and Carmella (Millie) Keller; paternal great grandparents; and uncles, Brent James (Keno) Koleno and Blane Raymer.
Special people in Paxton's life included Trisha Osgood, and Mike and Jess Good and their son, Trevon Good.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly, with Pastor Bill Carpenter (Cedar Valley Hospice chaplain) officiating. Following services, Paxton's body will be cremated and burial of his cremains will take place at a later date in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly.
