She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waverly, where she was active in Church Circle, quilting and Do-Day. She helped serve meals at the Salvation Army in Waterloo and enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. Arthur and Anetta enjoyed spending winters in Texas for 20 years, but what gave Anetta the most joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren, as she dearly loved them all so much.

Survivors are her five children; three daughters, LaVonne (Allen) Miller, of Surprise, Ariz., Carol Reagan, of Waukee, and Beverly (Jim) Schmidt, of Bellevue, Neb.; two sons, Virgil (Maybeth) Graening, of Louden, Tenn., and Larry (Jill) Graening, of Waverly; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Anetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on May 20, 1998, grandson, David Dean Graening, a son-in-law, Joe Reagan, four brothers, Ernest, Gustav, Richard and Walter Jaschen, and six sisters, Erna Bublitz, Lizzie Buhr, Bertha Tims, Hulda Poorman, and Martha Nolte.
