Alan C. Dippel

Alan C. Dippel of Lake Ariel died Thursday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. His wife of 30 years is the former Theresa Santulli.
He was born in Scranton, the son of Carl and Eleanor Griffin Dippel of Gouldsboro and he was a graduate of Scranton Tech Class of 1967 and Johnson Technical School.
Prior to retirement he was employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot for 30 years. He was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary's Parish Community and was a member of the V.F.W. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam conflict from 1969-1970 in the 1st Air Calvary where he earned an Air Medal.
Also surviving are a daughter Stacy Dippel of Lake Ariel; a sister Linda Frank and her husband Bob of Gouldsboro; a grandchildren Parker and Jenessa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 p.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Interment St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
