Anthony M. Volpone, age 53, of Hawley died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Born September 23, 1959, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Ann (Zara) Volpone of Sussex, NJ, and the late Carmine Volpone.
Formerly of New Jersey, he loved driving trucks for Webster Trucking, fishing and spending time with his grandsons and watching NASCAR races. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion of 12 years, Ann Bailey of Hawley; a sister: Jenny Fry of Branchville, NJ; two brothers: Carmine Volpone of Sussex, NJ, and Joey Volpone of New Jersey; two step daughters: Jessie Mullins of Hawley and Kimberly Dale of Denver, PA; a step son: Bruce Gammon of Scranton; several nieces and one nephew.
He was predeceased by a brother, Dante Volpone, and a step son, Jeremy Keene.
There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 13, at 10 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor, officiating.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
