Clara M Exner(1917 - 2013)

Clara M. Exner, 95, of Ambler, PA, died on January 25, 2013 at Artman Lutheran Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Exner, Sr. for 65 years. Clara was born in Honesdale, PA on June 25, 1917 to the late Philip R. and Margaret M. (Rose) Murray.
She was a graduate of Honesdale High School and received her B.A. in Biology from the College of New Rochelle. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Clara was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen and attended their Bible Study Group. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, traveling the world with her husband and swimming at the YMCA until the age of 90.
She is survived by her three children: Mary Spalding (Roy) of Raymond, NE, Clare Exner (Lawrence Crystal) of Mapleton, ME, Lawrence J. Exner, Jr. (Ellen) of Scranton, PA; a brother: Philip R. Murray of Camp Hill, PA; five grandchildren: Maroya Spalding Walters, Sara, Philip Crystal, Abigail and Ryan Exner. She was predeceased in death by a sister Margaret M. Gartland; two brothers: John and George Murray.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA.
A viewing will be from 9:30-11AM at the Church. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
