Edna Leona Rhone Llewellyn, 93, of Orson, passed away on Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Her husband, George Llewellyn died on December 20, 1995.
Edna was born on July 24, 1920 in Orson, PA and lived her entire life there.
The daughter of the late Milton and Ella Rivenburg Rhone, she attended Orson Elementary School for 8 years, and graduated in 1938 from Preston High School, Lakewood, PA.
She was manager of Preston Elementary School Cafeteria, Lakewood, for many years.
She was also a longtime Republican Committee Woman for Preston Township, District 2. Edna was a life long member of the former Orson Methodist Church.
She loved crocheting, gardening, all animals, and flowers.
The March 1994 issue of Mary Emerling's Country Magazine even featured a two page color center fold of Edna's flower garden.
Edna is survived by her children, Alan and wife Mary Ann, Orson; Larry and wife Donna, Las Vegas, NV; Kathleen and husband Robert Spencer, Londonderry, NH; and William "Bill" and wife Marium, Lakewood; 14 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
She was genuinely loved by all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a one in a million mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Rhone; Sisters: Wanda Rhone Cowles and Evelyn Rhone.
The funeral will be Thursday in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City with services at 6 pm.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Orson Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday, from 3 pm until service time.
