Eileen Frances "Pumpkin" White, 52 of Beach Lake, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Joseph Ervin White. The couple married on May 7, 1994.
Born on September 18, 1960, she is the daughter of Lena Zaffarano Mullahy of Ambler, PA and the late Thomas Mullahy. After graduating from high school, she received a degree in journalism and was the former editor of the Montgomery County newspaper before moving to Wayne County.
Eileen was a dedicated housewife and mother. A member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, she attended St. Bernard's Church in Beach Lake and had a special devotion to St. Padre Pio.
Eileen loved life and will share her love of life as an organ donor with the Gift of Life Program.
Also surviving are her sons Joseph Alexander and John Michael, both at home; mother-in-law Lorraine Cox and husband Richard of Delaware; brothers Michael Mullahy and wife Belinda of Ambler, PA and Thomas Mullahy and wife Joanie of Seattle, WA; sisters Maria Yeger and husband David of Lancaster, PA and Ann Reid and husband David of London-York, PA; nieces and nephews.
As per her request, cremation was held at Maple Hill at Salem Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3rd at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Honesdale.
