Gail M. Fritz

Mrs. Gail M. Fritz age 70, formerly of Tamaqua passed away Jan. 22, 2013 after a lengthy illness in Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.

She was the widow of William Fritz Sr., who passed away in 2004.

She grew up in Tamaqua a daughter of the late Harry "Happy" and Lillian (Quick) Everhart.
She was a 1960 graduate of Tamaqua High School.

Currently she was residing with her daughter Susan in Aldenville and was employed for the past six years as an LPN at Ellen Memorial in Honesdale, and prior to working there she worked many years at Miners Memorial St. Luke's Hospital in Coaldale.

She was a member of both the Bethany EC Church, Tamaqua where she had taught Sunday school, and was also currently a member of Aldenville Baptist Church, Aldenville.

Gail is remembered as a devoted Christian and nurse who loved caring for people and spending time with Nicole and Emily, and crocheting blankets for others.

She was an avid reader and her book collection will be donated to the Aldenville Baptist Church.

Surviving are: a son William Fritz Jr., and his wife Traci of Tamaqua, a daughter Susan and her husband Dale Roberts of Aldenville, a son Brian Fritz of Tamaqua, grandchildren Ty Bowers, Dale Roberts Jr., Nicole Roberts, and Emily Roberts, also survived by a brother Harry Everhart of Tallahassee FL, and a sister Judith Scarborough of Wilmington DE.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, Pastor Gary Gilpin officiating.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
