LeRoy Ulmer(1918 - 2013)

LeRoy Ulmer, age 94, of Tafton died Saturday, January 6, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Mr. Ulmer was born September 23, 1918 in Doylestown, PA and was the son of the late Frank and Myrtle (Fox) Ulmer. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Ulmer and a sister, Margaret Marks.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was employed as a machinist by Tinius Olson Testing Machine Co..
LeRoy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Honesdale, American Legion Post 210 in Doylestown and U.S.S. San Francisco Assoc.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years: Althea(Hager) Ulmer of Tafton, PA; Son & daughter-in-law, John & Carol Ulmer of Tafton, PA; 6 grandchildren, Chris & Janet Ulmer; Sharon & Shawn Deveney; Karl & Michele Ulmer; Kim & Bob Vivers; Joy Ulmer; Kyle & Kristin Ulmer; six great grandchildren; one sister: Ruth McGuire of Upper Black Eddy, PA.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10 at 11 a.m. at Green Gates Cemetery, Rt. 590, Hawley with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Retired Pastor Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating.
